Commissions

How it works?

The more details you provide about your ideal painting, the closer it will align with your desired aesthetic. Let’s start by discussing your brief directly - I can guide you on concepts, colours, materials, sizes, and even framing options. Your painting can be inspired by a written description, visual references like a mood board, personal photographs, or a specific colour scheme. If you’d like, you can send photos of the space where the painting will hang, and I can superimpose a mock-up to help you visualise how it will look in place.

Once we finalise the brief, I’ll provide a detailed quote, including optional framing services. If you prefer to handle framing yourself, I’m happy to advise on suitable styles and colours.

Depending on the complexity, commissions typically take between a few weeks and a month to complete. For oil paintings, while they may feel dry to the touch, full curing can take up to six months.

Let’s collaborate to create something truly unique for your space!

  • Dining Room Suggestion

On the opposite wall were two Chinese cabinets with round gold circles. I mirrored this with a painting using 24k Gold Leaf circle on a grey graduated background. The larger painting is in a Japanese Mondrian style, complementing the furnishings.

  • Ideas for the Hallway

To match the wonderful leopard print couch I created a painting of a leopard inside an old colonial room with desaturated colours which was the owners personal taste.

  • Lounge Inspiration

This stunning painting of two hummingbirds and cherry blossom matches the colours of the sofa and adds colour to a neutral grey lounge. The painting brings a calming energy and contrast to break up the similar tones in the room.

  • The Wedding Couple

A couple wanted to immortalise their wedding day with a painting. They chose my idea of a Pre-Raphaelite style painting using auspicious symbolism throughout.

  • Russian Skyline

After returning from a holiday to Rostov a couple wanted to capture the memory in a painting. I used 24k gold leaf throughout and had a bespoke frame made.

  • A Very Unusual Portrait

I was asked to paint an oil portrait of an actor with his treasured ventriloquist dummy for a surprise birthday present. This was one of the most enjoyable commissions!

  • Wedding Bouquet

Imagine the whitest of roses in a wedding bouquet that went yellow after the big event! I was asked to paint the bouquet in all its original glory for it to be celebrated for years to follow.
