Collection: Armchair Wanderlust
Armchair Wanderlust is a painting series born from a lifelong yearning for distant landscapes and the thrill of the unknown. As a child, my father would take my brother and I on countless Sunday morning adventures deep into the countryside. He opened our eyes to the wonders of the natural world, teaching us about plants, trees, animals, and insects - an education I lapped up with delight. When he passed away when I was just eight years old, I longed for those magical explorations we shared. In his absence, I took off on my bike, venturing into the Kent countryside alone to continue the adventures we had begun.
That early connection to nature, freedom, and the quiet fear of getting lost has never left me. When I’m not traveling, I escape through books - tales of great expeditions and uncharted lands that ignite my imagination and stir my restless spirit. This series is a tribute to those literary journeys and to the memory of my father, capturing the atmosphere, adventure, and emotion of exploration through paint. Each piece is a visual map of places I’ve longed to see, mysteries I’ve dreamed of uncovering, and journeys I’ve taken without ever leaving my chair.
