On a hot summer’s day, I pitched a blanket beneath the trees of Ashdown Forest, a birch wood panel in hand, underpinned with neon pink and armed with my brand-new R&F Oil Sticks. I’d never used them before, and their buttery texture brought the scene to life with immediacy and joy. The result is a vibrant celebration of summer, fluffy clouds drifting across blue skies, the hum of nature all around, and a sense of warmth and well-being that lingers long after the paint has dried.
