A celebration of wild nights and unforgettable glamour, She Had More Party is an ode to the electric heartbeat of youth. At the centre of the painting is a striking woman, her hazel eyes gleaming with untold stories, one hidden playfully behind a single blushing peony. Black feathers crown her head like a hedonist's halo, while a raven perches in her hair, watchful, mysterious, and perhaps complicit?
A chandelier glitters above her in a trendy uptown club, while fireworks explode beside her cheek - symbols of fleeting brilliance and reckless abandon. A Martini glass rests to her left, its citrus twist still lingering on her lips, painted in deep framboise - a nod to both geishas and girls on the town.
Encircling her face, a poem:
She had more party than the Mardi Gras.
Nose tipped with sherbet diamonds.
Martini zest laced her tongue.
Tiger’s eyes a dangerous seductress.
Geisha’s lipstick in deep framboise.

How was it created?
Born from my love of dressing up and photography, this piece began with a bouquet of flowers so beautiful I longed to preserve them. While experimenting with double-exposure, I dressed up, lay on the studio floor, and surrounded myself with blooms and a feather boa, a peony placed over one eye. Shooting from above, I captured the moment, then merged the images into a double exposure before digitally painting the final work.
